I HAVE LESS THAN 100 DAYS LEFT?! WHAT IS HAPPENING?!
Ok, now that I've had that little moment, Hi. How are you all doing? This week has been full of ups and downs! But I think it's safe to say that all in all it has been a good week. We have been doing a lot of finding at the moment. We have been working really hard and we are constantly looking for ways that we can improve our missionary efforts here in this area. This area is a really great place to serve, and I absolutely love it here. There is so much potential here for this work.
Well let me take you through our week. If I can remember what happened.
As I said last week, I wasn't so well on Sunday and, to be honest, I wasn't so well on Monday but I wasn't going to sacrifice my P-Day and I wasn't going to stop us from going out in the evening either. We just spent most of our P-Day emailing ad shopping. Such a Sister Missionary P-Day. But we have decided that we are going to be better at having good P-Days. We want adventure P-Days. Starting next week, because this week we are going to be emailing and shopping... :) Tehe :)
Tuesday was an interesting day. In the morning and for part of the afternoon, we were helping out at the office because there was a meeting going on and we had to be there to be companions with one of the Sisters whose companion was in the meeting. But she was rather sick so we didn't risk taking her outside. We actually had Family History in the morning, then we helped Sister Leppard to set up the Lunch for the Missionaries, and then we did some office work for a bit.
We had a couple of lessons in the afternoon with some of my favourite people. It was just really great to go and see them. They are a part-member family and also a less active lady. I love going to see them. They just both have such a great spirit in their home and they
make me so happy when we go and visit with them. The evening was not so fun. We went in to the Elders area because we had found someone whilst contacting a less active a few days prior, and there is a reason that it is the Elders area. We promised ourselves that we would never go back there, especially in the dark. In the day it's not so bad. We found a pretty pond and Geese and Swans there last week!
Wednesday also involved us helping out with meeting down at the office. In the morning we had a different Sister to look after. We went up to the shops near the Church and we did some GQing. This Sister was a boss at it! She's only on her third transfer, but you would think that she had been out for ages! I really enjoyed that time with her. I learnt a lot from her. Then we helped with Lunch again. I got to see some of the awesome people that I love so dearly. I saw Sister Lee, Elder Bos, Sister Pickett, Sister Vousden and more! It was awesome to get to see them. One of my favourite things about being a missionary is that I get to meet and serve around so many awesome people from all over the world! Missionaries are just the best people!
We did a lot of finding today, we went and spoke with people in town after lunch. Oh my goodness, Sutton Coldfield is such a tough place to GQ. I don't know if it's the place or the people, or me, but it was so tough on Wednesday. But we kept on going. We pushed through to the end. Positivity is key! And Love! That's important too.
Thursday we had District Meeting! So this time we were actually in the meeting this time. Yay! And we had a great day of finding too. We met a really amazing lady. She's been through an awful lot of trials in her life and she has been prepared so much for the Gospel. She has been searching for exactly what we are offering as missionaries! We've really been struggling with finding new investigators and after we left this lady's home, both Sister Butler and I had the same feeling that this was Heavenly Fathers way of saying "Hey, I'm still here and I haven't forgotten you!" We also met a really cool guy who works at The Entertainer, so working Sunday's won't be a problem. :):):):):):)
Friday was another good day. We went into town and did some GQing as a District! So we had 6 missionaries in our town centre! It was great, we got loads of potentials and we had a blast. It was a lot of fun! And then in the evening I got to chat with President. He's amazing! I absolutely love him and Sister Leppard. Momma, Papa Bear, Daddy, you need to know that I have a mission mum and dad right here! They really are our parents away from home! They look after us so much and they just love us so much!
Halloween! Which means that all missionaries must be inside by 6pm! Which meant weekly planning to the background noise of children screaming and laughing outside our windows. And there was even fireworks going on all night! Fireworks! On Halloween! What is the world coming to?! Hahaha but it was a good night and I got to spend it with the wonderful, fabulous, Sister Butler! Yayayayayayay
And church was so good this week. We had a really good Relief Society lesson today. We watched the Mormon Message, Lift. If you haven't watched that one yet, you should watch it. It is really good! It really touches the heart so much!
I know this church is true! I love the Gospel and I love that I get to share it with people everyday! :)
Love you all!!
