3 Nephi 18:16 is a scripture that I really love. I have it on my planner this transfer. Jesus Christ is our example, our Saviour and Redeemer and through Him, we can become perfect, even as our father in heaven is perfect.
To be honest, I don't really remember much of this week, except some key events! Obviously I have written down in my planner what we did each day but I don't really remember specifics.
Monday was District P-Day. We had so much fun! We played a few games at the chapel first. Then we went and got lunch, walked around the beach for a little while, then we went and played pool. Sister Gaffney is useless at pool! But somehow me and Elder Bos beat Sister Rasmussen and Elder Ruttan! We do always win when we are on a team together though. Then we went and played 'football' at the castle. I say football, we kicked a ball about for a while then went and played in the castle.
Thursday we had District Meeting. We got to meet our new Elder in the District. Oh, so our District leader Elder Bos has finally left Aber (sad right?) and he is now in Swansea and is our new Zone Leader! So he isn't too far away.
Our new Elder is called Elder Kmetzsch (try pronouncing that one) and he is so cool!! He was in the MTC with me so he is a familiar face! We already have fun! We were on the phone to him for like an hour last night! Funny funny guy!
Saturday is a special day, it's the day THAT OUR INVESTIGATOR GOT BAPTISED!!! Amanda's special day came! It was absolutely amazing! The Spirit there was so strong. I don't think I could have smiled any wider. Seriously the best day ever! She has made so many changes in her life and she was so ready to Come Unto Christ! I love her so much and I was just so happy to know that she is one step closer to returning home to her father in heaven. The service was wonderful, the ward were wonderful too and it was just all round a fantastic day!
And to top it off, we went and got Kebabs with the Elders afterwards! So cool!
Then Sunday Amanda got confirmed! She was just so overjoyed it was awesome! She felt the spirit so strong and she is so happy with her decision to follow Jesus Christ. She really is a very very very special lady!
I know that my Saviour lives and that He loves me. There is nothing greater than strengthening out relationship with our Father in Heaven and helping other people to do the same thing. This Church is 150% true. There is no other true church on the earth today! The Book of Mormon is epic! Read it, Ponder it, Pray about it and repeat!
I love this Gospel so much and each one of you!
Love
Sister Gaffney!
