Hola one and all!!
How amazing was conference?!!!!!! Everyone keeps asking me what my favourite talk was and I just can't decide! When my Zone Leader called I just said all of them! He laughed and agreed. I took so many notes that my study journal is nearly full! It was getting quite full anyway but now it is just short of being full. I nearly cried in quite a few of the talks actually. Especially President Uchtdorf and President Eyring's talks. We didn't get to watch the Sunday Afternoon session but I am looking forward to hearing/reading the talks for that too. I definitely got answers to my prayers/questions in this conference. The Spirit I felt this conference was amazing as well. I wish I could have that every week! Every day!
This week has been a bit of a weird one so this email will probably not be so long. P-day was good, we went to the beach! It was awesome! It was so quiet too which was great. I felt like I was back in Cornwall! I was in my element, I had no cares in the world for the short time that we were there. Not a worry on my mind :)
Tuesday I hit my 2 month mark! It has flown by! Wowzers! We had District Meeting and one of the families in our ward had set out a little lunch for us! It was Christmas themed. One of the Elders had never seen a cracker before and he was just enthralled! I thought it was so funny. We went on splits with 2 Sisters in our ward to do Visit teaching. That was really nice. Really nice. And of course, it was Moms birthday too so I had a long look at Orion's belt and said Happy Birthday to her too! (It's a family thing lol)
Wednesday was not quite as planned. We did a bit of finding, had a bit of a tiff, taught a lesson and basically got dropped by our investigator family. We are getting there. There is so much potential for this area, it is just hard getting it to where we want it to be.
Thursday was again a slower day. We didn't find as many people as we wanted and we didn't get to see a lot of the people that we planned to stop by because they were not there. But we did get a return appointment for tomorrow that we are very hopeful for!
Friday was interesting. We spent half the day in Aberystwyth because Sister Reed wanted a blessing and on the way there we got stuck in heavy traffic. So we had to wait to see the Elders for an hour because they had a lesson to get to. So we went to the Castle and the sea for our lunch hour. Then we went to the park for the afternoon because Sister Reed was given permission to write home and she was on the phone to President too. It was a very weird day...
Saturday Morning was a bit more productive... ish. We met a lovely little old lady and taught her a lesson on the street, went to see a less active family who are great, and then did some tracting. Then we had conference!!!! It was so good!!!!!
Sunday Morning we tried to do some finding but everywhere was dead. In our little town, all the shops are shut on Sunday (isn't that great) so there was no one in town. And i mean like nobody! It was dead. Then again we had conference! What an awesome weekend it was! Except between conference we were supposed to have an appointment with a wonderful man and his friend that we have been speaking to for a while but he flogged us! It was the first time he had set a return appointment with us to teach him an actual lesson. But the conference session cheered me up.
I am in such a good mood after conference! I am so pumped and ready for this week! It is going to be an awesome week! Miracles will happen, I can feel it!
I love you all, miss you all!
