Hello dear people who are taking time out of their lives to read my boring but wonderful drivel that I write really badly!
This week has been... well it has been a week in the mission field! We've had ups and downs but we like to focus on the ups here!
So I will get the negative out of the way first so that I can spiritually uplift you all by the end!
We got flogged A LOT this week which made us really sad but we shook it off and we went out to continue to find. We found this really cool Portuguese guy and we were totally syked for our return appointment, found a member to come with us and then he flogged! I was so bummed! He seemed so solid! But it is ok.
Also, a lot of the people that we found on Saturday were really cool and elect but they lived in either Milford's area, Llanelli's area or Swansea. Obviously we found some super cool people here but we are constantly finding people for the Elders! So in our last referral text, we asked them to send some back this way haha.
Anyway, this week we found a wonderful new investigator. She is super awesome and elect and just wonderful. We had an amazing lesson with her and she is so prepared. She is searching for the truth. She always thought that religion caused wars but after she had spoken to us on the street she was in her car and said that something in her head told her that religion doesn't cause wars, people cause wars because they interpret religion in their own way. In my head I was jumping and cheering and whooping! She invited herself to church too! Then Yesterday she came and she was just so wonderful and she looked like a member and totally fit in with the ward. One of our Recent Converts phoned us after church and even asked us if our investigator came to church today because he thought that she was a member! Fun Fun Fun!!
We had the Nativity Festival this week. On Thursday, we helped out with the school's that came up and it was really cool. It was sad though because half of the Children had never even heard of Jesus Christ. In my study this morning, I read a talk from conference about how Jesus Christ is the source of our hope and it really hit me about how sad it is that there are so many people who just don't know about the Saviour and what he did for them. It makes me so sad to think of it like that but it also gives me even more of a desire to go out and share the good message of Jesus Christ with everyone. He Lives! He lived a perfect life so that He could die for each and every one of us and then He rose again on the third day so that we to can rise again to live with Him, our Father in Heaven and our families for all eternity. This is the most important message that we can share with the world. This is why I have given up 18 months and come to a strange land ;) I know that the world needs to now about heir Saviour and 18 months is never going to be enough time to do the work that I need to do for my brothers and sisters. #ShareTheGift
We had Zone Conference this week and it was such a pleasure to hear from President and Sister Rasmussen. They are just fantastic! They are so inspired and they know exactly what we as missionaries need to hear! I came away so spiritually uplifted.
Afterwards, we were helping Sister Rasmussen clean up, and we had a bit of a problem. She couldn't find her keys! She was positive that she left them on the side in the kitchen but they had disappeared. So there were about 10-16 missionaries who all clubbed together and started to dig through all the rubbish bags. It was so gross! But we kept looking. We were looking for probably a good hour and there was a lot of manky pizza and stuff from lunch and just EEEWWWWWW!!! Then we get a phonecall, the Cheltenham 1 zone leaders had taken them with them by accident! We were not impressed. But we had a good laugh and it is definitely an experience that we will never forget!
Well once again I have run out of time! I love you all!!!!!
