So this week has been crazy fast but so good. We have had such a good time and some really good lessons.
So we have 2 investigators that want to be baptized and they were set to be baptized this Saturday. We are really excited that they want to be baptized but they won't be able to this week. It is really sad as we don't even know when they will be able to be baptized. During our lesson on Saturday evening, I had the strangest feeling during the lesson and I was really worried afterwards. I was talking to Sister Muhlmann about it because I thought it was something I had done wrong, I nearly cried because I was so distraught. But yesterday, due to a lot of factors, we got the feeling that something was not quite right and last night we were praying like crazy so that we knew what to do. We came to the conclusion this morning that we would postpone the baptism and that we would wait until they are settled (it's a complicated situation that they are in). We are gutted because we were really excited, but when the spirit tells you something, you do NOT argue with it.
This week has been a lot of visiting less-actives and potentials and tracting. I am loving it. We have some great people in the area and I love just sitting and talking to them. I am a lot more confident in teaching now and I can feel the spirit telling me what I need to say. Like one of our investigators loves to talk... a lot... and the spirit was like "share this scripture now because it will get her to stop talking". It worked! We were able to teach a really good lesson after that, it was completely spirit led and we made some promises that I never would have made if the Holy Ghost hadn't been very clear that I had to.
I don't have as much time to email this week as we had to go to the closest decent shopping area and that is half an hour away. But I now have a lovely pair of boots to wear in the rain and when we go to visit like half the ward because they all live on farms! It's so much like Cornwall!!!! Love it!
I forgot my cable for the camera so next week I will send you pictures!
I will be sure to send the pictures of my district! It is just us and one set of Elders! Super small district. But it is obviously the best district. Elder Elsholz and Elder Bos are both American and both are hilarious!
We have district meeting once a week and usually we have lunch with them on that day too. It is awesome. :)
I miss everyone from the MTC and from home and wish you were all here with me. I wouldn't change anything for the world though!
I am sorry to everyone that I didn't get the chance to email individually! I love each of you!
Lots of Love
Sister Gaffney :)
