Hey Hey!!
So I am super short on time this week so this won't be the best email.
Basically the highlight of this week was Mission Conference! We got to have training from Elder Dyches of the Seventy and also Elder Allen, the head guy for Missionary Work within the Church. It was so good! The topic was Becoming Disciples of the Digital Age! We received some amazing training and the things that we learnt really made me evaluate my life, both mission and pre-mission, and see what I needed to do to change and become a better Disciple of Jesus Christ. It was by far the best conference/church meeting that I have been to. And wow, the Spirit that is present in a room filled with that many missionaries is just amazing. I absolutely loved it. It was such a great day! And of course because it was mission conference, I got to see my Elders and Sisters that I love! First and foremost, I saw my baby girl! I was so excited that I ran to her and nearly tackled her to the ground. And then I just kept hugging her and I will be honest, I was so happy that I did cry a little bit. I just miss her!! And I got to see Elder Bos, Elder Elsholz and Elder Ruttan! They are some of the best people that I have ever met... Obviously I would never tell them that ;)
I have had some struggles this week with really wanting to get up and go but I remembered what President Hinckley's dad told him to do, and what was said in my setting apart blessing, to go about the work. Even though it has been hard for me, I know what Heavenly Father needs me to be doing and I know that He will give me the courage and the strength to talk to people even when I don't want to or don't think I can. As long as I am obedient to what He has asked me to do, I cannot go wrong.
Prayer works! I know it does. No matter what we are going through or what we are saying, He is listening to us! Because He is our Father in Heaven who loves us eternally!
I love this Gospel and I am so grateful for my time as a missionary. I know that Jesus Christ is my Saviour and your Saviour and that He lives!
I love you all <3 <3
Love Sister Gaffney :)
P.S. Look who else I saw :)
