One week to go!
I felt like we had a really good week this week. We saw some really simple, but wonderful miracles that just reminded me so much of how this is our Heavenly Father's work.
One of these miracles was that we were able to see an investigator that we haven't seen in a while. He's very old and he lives way out so its hard to get to his area without a member taking us up there. But we were able to go and see him this week with a recent convert from our ward. It was a miracle that we were able to see him but the lesson, and the words that our recent convert shared with our investigator, was also a miracle. He has trouble accepting that we have a living prophet on the earth today, and our recent convert was able to share with him how she felt the same and that how she was able to receive a testimony for herself about living Prophets.
Another miracle that we experienced was that we were able to get into contact with a very promising former investigator that we have been trying to contact for weeks. And we were also able to contact a less active couple that we have been trying to meet for weeks also. We went out with a ysa sister in the ward who is putting in her mission papers. It was great to see her recognising the miracles of missionary work and her enthusiasm for what we are doings so so contagious.
This week we attended the funeral of an elderly lady from the ward and in attendance at the funeral there were many less actives. One man and his daughter were particularly keen to talk to us and they expressed a desire for us to stop by and see them when we are in their area. Of course we are now planning to be in that area this week so that we can go and see them.
We were also able to start teaching the husband of another of our investigators and we got to meet their daughter and granddaughter during our lesson with them this week. We have been able to meet a few of their family members, and although right now they are not interested in taking their curiosity any further, I feel very good about the seeds that we have planted with them.
I really enjoyed the Broadcast from the missionary department this week. I learnt so much from it and I have loved reviewing my notes.
Everyone keeps telling me that I am leaving, but somehow I am finding it hard to believe them!
Oooh, I also was lucky enough to get to see the Hawkins' this week!!
I love you all!!!!!!
