We are the biggest children! I am just going to say that. This week we got up to all sorts of mischief!
But I'll take it one day at a time for you.
Monday was pretty much like normal. We got up, studied, emailed, shopped and then we went back to the flat where Sister Rasmussen slept for a little bit and I sorted through some of my stuff. Well attempted to. I am not looking forward to packing so I figured that if I start to sort through my things and get rid of some of the junk that I have accumulated, I will be better off when I come to putting everything into a suitcase.
Then we went and had dinner and family home evening with a family from the ward. That was really cool, I love having dinner with them. They are always so fun!
That evening we had a lesson with a potential investigator. It was awesome. We were a little bit apprehensive because we had already had to rearrange our lesson with her for another day because she had forgotten that we were coming over and we had no way of contacting her to remind her. But we were able to go in and teach her. She is Catholic and she's really sweet. She has health problems though and some days are better than others. The coolest thing was that her daughter was there too and we got to teach her as well. They were both really receptive and said they would read from the Book of Mormon and pray about it. The daughter is only about 17/18 I reckon and we really caught her attention. She focused more on us by the end of the lesson and not on Eastenders behind her!
Tuesday was a good day too. We got to go Visiting Teaching which is always good. It is great to get out and spend time with the Sisters of the Ward. We really do have a fantastic ward and it is great to spend time with all of them!
We also got to see a less active family who are just awesome! We just wanted to get to know them for the first time we were there. The mum and 2 oldest boys were baptized a couple of years ago and haven't been out to Church in about a year and a half. But the great thing was that she says how she still reads the Book of Mormon herself and that her youngest boy (he's 7) reads from the picture Book of Mormon and her 13 year old boy reads the Book of Mormon too. When she told us that my heart just leapt for joy! We are really excited to work with her and hopefully we will be able to help her to come back to Church.
So that night we had a bit of fun. During dinner, I got out my Welsh flag for Sister Rasmussen to write on and so she got out hers for me to write on. She then put it round her shoulders and we realised that the flags were the perfect length for a cape. So after planning, we went through our wardrobes and made superhero outfits. This is only the start of the fun though. We started running around the flat in our outfits taking photos of us climbing on the furniture, the kitchen counters, everything! We were real superheroes for the night! It was awesome :) We also gave ourselves superhero names. I am Wonder Welsh and Sister R is Cymru Karate! AREN'T WE SO COOL!
Wednesday we did some painting. That was fun. We surprisingly stayed very clean whilst doing this. I think it is my first painting service that I actually did stay clean in! I was pretty dang proud of myself if I do say so.
We got to teach our investigator too! She is really cool and I just love her. She loves us coming round and teaching her and she just really wants to follow Jesus Christ! IT is great, she has some different beliefs but she said that she really wants to believe in the things that we teach her. Last night she called us to apologise for not being able to come to church. It was the coolest excuse ever though! She was up all night watching the videos on Mormon Channel that she was so exhausted she just slept most of Sunday. Obviously I wished that she had come to Church but I reckon that is a pretty good excuse. However we'll be sure to get her to Church next week!
We had District Meeting on Thursday which is always good. This week I learnt that we have to ATTACK people that we talk to. No that does not mean that I am going to hurt them! It was an acronym. Or something like that. Like an acrostic poem thing. Anyway, it was good.
Then we did some finding which was good, then we saw our Less Active again. She is really cool and I just love her so much. I really feel like it is her time to come back to Church! She's awesome!
Oooh when we were finding, this guy that we were talking to told me something really fun. Did you know that Christ was not really a human, he was a Neanderthal. I guess you learn something new every day... Um well it was definitely something new!
Friday was legit! We built a fort in our lounge out of all the sheets and Blankets that we have! So dang cool! And then that night we slept in it. SO COOL!
Well on Saturday we went up to Aber because the Elders had a baptism. In the Sea. During a very rainy, windy day. IT WAS EPIC! We took the coolest videos and photos on their cameras! So cool!
But I am going to go now because we are going to go and fly kites on the beach with the Siddy's! Yay!!
Love you all!!!!
