This is so true! So if Elder Ballard has said it, then surely I can just keep on pushing till the end! The quote is actually now on the wall next to my desk to remind me always that I can always work a little bit harder!
Well this week was another one of those up and down weeks. It started off amazing! Monday night we saw some awesome miracles! We were able to teach our investigator, P. It was cold and wet out and unfortunately we weren't able to find a member to come teaching with us because it was a really last minute lesson but he was totally chill with standing outside the chapel for the lesson! I know if I was him I would not have been quite so down with it!
Then after that, we went to stop by another investigator and her granddaughter, who is a former investigator, was there and asked us to walk her down to the bus stop. So we did and we taught her a lesson and she totally wants to start meeting with us again and come to Church and come to different activities at the church! Unfortunately we haven't been able to see her anymore this week, but we have still been in contact with her on the phone. She is so cool and so sweet! I am really excited to start teaching her. :)
Tuesday was another miracle day! We taught a couple of our investigators, which was awesome! And it was the first time that we went in to the home of one of them! That was cool. She was just like, "come in!" Her husband is adorable too. He has cancer though which is really sad. But he's funny.
Then we got to go and see a couple of the recent converts in the ward. They are the best! This ward is awesome and the recent converts are just so cool! They are really sweet and I love going to see them.
We also got to see an awesome Less Active lady in the ward. We sang to her and it was awesome, the spirit was really strong! I loved it!
Also, we were really blessed and we got to got to the Ward Council Meeting thing that Elder Ballard spoke at! It was so good! I really loved it, I learnt a lot for the mission but also for home!
The rest of the week was not so eventful... In fact we were pretty out of action. We had very violent colds... Sister Beazer got it first and then I went down a day later. And I was following everything that she was getting. I was literally a day behind. So we are basically recovered now which is nice. It's actually really nice. We spent a lot of time not being able to do much and that sucked!!
We had an awesome Sunday too! The talks were great, the lessons were great and we just had a really good day.
Today we are heading into city centre and we're hoping that we will get to see the lights!
Well I guess I'll finish with some pictures :)
Missionary work is the best thing ever!
I love you!
Sister Gaffney :)
P.S. President is coming to District Meeting on Friday!
1. Sister Woolsey is my bestest friend!
2. We built a bed by ourselves... then we were so exhausted that we died.
3. Aren't we so cute!
