Hey!
We wish you a merry Christmas! And a happy new year!
I can't believe we have had Christmas day already! This year has gone super fast... (Yes family I said super!) On Wednesday I will have been out a whole 5 months! It really doesn't feel like it. But I can see how much I have learnt and just how much my testimony has grown since I have been out! I have felt my love for the Saviour increase so much especially over this wonderful Christmas season!
So since I was last able to send out my weekly email I have got a new companion! Her name is Sister Rasmussen! She is 19, from Lyman, Wyoming and she's my baby! I have a greenie! We have so much fun together! We have already explored a Castle, danced around the flat in our onesies and had a slumber party in the lounge on Christmas Eve! So we have had a pretty good 1 and a half weeks together so far! She is awesome! She is such a fantastic missionary! She loves the Gospel so much and she has grown a lot already! I am learning so much from her too!
Last week we were a bit all over the place! I had to say goodbye to my dear, wonderful Sister Cook! (miss you!!) On Tuesday we went to Cardiff where we said our goodbyes and I watched her drive off to the mission home. Then Me and Sister Silsby went to spend the day with the Cardiff Sisters which was super fun!
Wednesday I went to the mission home where I picked up my baby! It was so cool! And I got to see Sister Appleby before she went home and also Sister Carter was there and I got to introduce my baby to Elder Steel! (on a side note I just want to say that not having Elder Steel as my zone leader is so weird! I feel like something is very wrong every time we get a voicemail and it is Elder Bills instead of Elder Steel). After we all got our stuff together, the APs drove us back to Cardiff so that Sister Rasmussen wouldn't have to drive in the dark and then on Thursday morning Sister Rasmussen drove us back to Newcastle Emlyn.
We've had a really good week together, some fun times and we have been working really hard. Since I became trainer, I feel like I have to really step up and although I had improved loads in the last transfer, I am having to be more bold and confident when we are out working because I have to show Sister Rasmussen a good example. It is really hard some days to keep on going especially when it is cold or raining or both but I am really trying to be the best missionary that I can so that she has a good example that she can turn to when she doesn't know what to do. We work really well together though and it has been really good.
CHRISTMAS! Christmas was really cool! We decided that we wanted to try and have some of our family traditions that we normally do so we had a slumber party in the lounge for Sister Rasmussen and then in the morning I cooked us a full English breakfast. It was really cool although we were both really full before we had finished it.
IT WAS SO GOOD TO TALK TO YOU ALL ON SKYPE!!!! I can't believe that it actually happened! The tears were all happy tears though I promise! But I loved every minute of talking to you all. When we went back to the flat, it didn't feel like I had just spoken to you all. It was so surreal to me because it has been so long. I'm not trunky in the slightest though so don't you worry!
Thank you to everyone for the gifts! I was spoilt this year and I really appreciated every single thing! You guys are the best! I am going to gain all the wait that I lost though haha... Just thought I would let you all know. Mom, I am so grateful for the Specaloos biscuits! We love them! And I got a lot of Double Dekkers so I was very happy haha!
On Boxing day, we spent a whole 4 hours with one family! It was so good! It was P-Day so we didn't have anything to do. In the morning we went into town to see if we could find something to get the elders but hardly any stores in Cardigan were open and they are rubbish shops anyway. But then we went and had lunch with the Ellis family and we played a fun game like articulate and it was awesome! Our team lost though :( I had loads of fun though and I was so grateful for them letting us be with them for so long!
The rest of the week we were working hard. It was really good and we spoke to some really cool people and saw some really cool miracles. Diligence is the key! We were a little disappointed in our numbers for the last 2 weeks but we have a fantastic District Leader who knows exactly what to say to us and he knows how to cheer us up!We are so blessed here in this area!
Well I am going to love you and leave you and I am going to go shopping!! Woop woop!!
Love you all!!!!!
Happy New Year!!!
