Oh My Gosh! Mary got baptized!!!!!
YAYAYAYAYAYAYAY!!!!!
BEST DAY SO FAR!!
So if you didn't get it already, Mary got baptized on Saturday! It was amazing. The service was so good and the actual baptism was such a privilege to witness. I will start from the beginning though, as of course the day was not without hiccup!
Saturday morning we got up, we were in a great mood, we were excited, and we were awake! We got ready, did our study and then went out to work! We started off the morning doing some finding in Newcastle Emlyn and we were not doing too bad. Then we ran into Bishop who had some bad news... The hot water for the font was not working! ! ! It was supposed to have been fixed very recently and the technician had been in like 2 weeks ago and said it was all working. But it was not. We had a couple of lessons to get to that day so we were busy rushing around to appointments. The sad thing was that the appointments kept flogging! We were gutted. we did some more finding as a back up for them but again to no avail. We then rushed back to the chapel to help with the font as the hot water was still not working. The solution to this problem... Boiling the water in pans and running them (safely) to the font and tipping them in. Thankfully Mary is quite little so the font didn't need to be too full. But it was a fun little experience. Then the Aber Elders showed up and they forgot the form that they were supposed to be bringing!! Duh! But they stayed for the baptism as they were asked by Mary to be the witnesses. It was cool to have them there because we don't have other missionaries in the area that we get to see regularly. Anyway, the rest of the baptism went off without a hitch! It was a really lovely service and the spirit was super strong there. I really did feel like I was so blessed to be a part of Mary's journey. I am so grateful. And her testimony is so strong and powerful it is just amazing to hear. I wish that I could help everyone to feel the joy that Mary felt when she came out of that font. She really was just glowing with happiness. It was a wonderful experience... Even if she said the water was really cold anyway. But she didn't care. She was just so happy. After the baptism, we went back to their home for some food and just a little celebration for her. It was also really great to be there with the family and to see how happy they all were that Mary was finally baptized. The food was great too!!!
As for the rest of the week, I don't really remember much! It's terrible but I don't actually remember much at all!
So we taught some lessons this week. Most of them were to Mary but we did teach our other investigator Y this week and that was a really good lesson. Sad news though, she dropped us on Thursday and we have no idea why. Our last lesson with her was so good and the spirit was really strong there. Neither of us quite understand why she dropped but we have her number so we will not give up on her!
We also found 2 awesome new investigators this week and we are excited to teach them.
As usual, I have run out of time to say everything that I want to say so I will just add pictures and be done with it!!!
Love you all,
