HELLO!! <3
Well another week has come and gone. And so has transfers. First of all I'll let you know the dodge. And the dodge is... Tripanionship again! Aha! Yesterday Woodsetton received Sister Frandsen! She is from Utah, she's only been out 12 weeks and I love her so much already! She's so cute!
So yeah, tripanionship. What an interesting, unexpected turn of events.
This week was a good 'un. Although I'll be honest, at the beginning of the week I was really off my game. I don't know why, but I was having a really rough start to the week. I couldn't focus, I couldn't teach, I couldn't find... It was a hard first couple of days. But we went out finding and teaching and we met some really cool people. And even though the days were hard, I could say at the end of the day, that I did everything I could that day. Even though it wasn't as much as a normal day, it was enough.
Wednesday was cool, we had interviews with President. It was a pretty standard interview, he mainly just talked with me about the iPads, he's so excited for them... Bless him! But we had a really good District Meeting and we were lucky to be graced with the presence of our Zone Leaders. They are so cool! Elder Kerr just makes me laugh so much.
That night I phoned them just to talk and hopefully get a pick me up. They were great. I will ask you the question that Elder Kerr asked me...
*** If you could have any colour Giraffe, what would it be? ***
Obviously I said Pink. We had a really good chat and it was just what I needed. At the end of the call, Elder Lowe suggested that we say a prayer together. It really helped, and when I woke up on Thursday, I felt just like Sister Gaffney again!
Saturday. Aha! That was a fun day. Harborne are having issues with their font, so they came to use our chapel. We went down nice and early to fill the font for them and to tidy up a little bit. The ZL's came down too so we were able to disappear for a little bit before they needed us back to switch off the font. President showed up and was happy with everything, told us that our tripanionship might not be for the whole transfer, and made us both all anxious again. Then the real fun started. The minibuses pulled up and the members, recent converts, investigators and missionaries come piling in to the chapel. And that's when we find out that they didn't bring baptisimal clothing, so we had to scramble to find some and call the Elders to see if they still have the stuff from the other week. Then we find out that no one brought towels with them... Not even the 3 Elders who were baptising! So the ZL's drove us back to the flat and we grabbed the few clean ones that we had, including hand towels and tea towels.
That was our adventure! Exciting!
And then yesterday we got our third companion! Yay!!!
I know that this Church is true! Jesus Christ lives and loves us! Anything is possible through Him.
God cares a lot more about who we are and who we are becoming than about who we once were. He cares that we keep on trying. - Dale G. Redlund
Have a great week!
Love you!!!!
