Rrrello!
Well another week down! We are very quickly moving closer to transfers and it is quite nerve wracking! I have the feeling that it is time for me to move on from Newcastle Emlyn! I really love serving here but I think the Lord has other plans for me now. What those plans are I will not know for another 2 weeks but I know they are what is best for me!
But let me tell you all about my week!
Monday, well it was P-Day of course. We spent some time emailing, food shopping, the normal, and then we went about scoured the Sales racks! Sister R wanted to get a new skirt so we went and looked in loads of shops and just had fun trying on loads of clothes! Clothes that we obviously cannot afford! It was really funny though and we had a real good laugh and had some good fun! Then that night we went and taught one of our investigators, C. C is awesome! We absolutely love her. She just loves us coming over. She absolutely loves members of the church and says she has always been attracted to them because they are always so happy and just have such a good Spirit about them. She says that when we come over to teach her, she just gets a funny tingly feeling in her heart and she knows that what we are teaching her is good.
Tuesday was SOOO good! We went to Rhiwbina for Zone Conference! Man was that epic or what! President Rasmussen is just so inspired and amazing and wonderful and just the Best Mission President Ever! I got some amazing notes and quotes from this Zone Conference. He really knows exactly what his missionaries need to hear. I definitely got some answers to prayers in that Zone Conference. One principle that he talked about was about our expectations. In Preach my Gospel it talks about what happens when we lower our expectations. He changed it around. "If you RAISE your expectations, your effectiveness will increase; your desire will strengthen; and you will have greater ease following the Spirit."
This was really something that hit me hard. I need to raise my expectations in all aspects of this work. It is the Lord's work and with his help I can accomplish anything that He needs me to. "The Lord giveth no commandments unto the children of men, save he shall prepare a way for them" (1 Nephi 3:7)
A quote from President that I wrote down has really helped me this week too, "Hang on, the best is yet to come." So just remember that when things get tough or when our day, week, month doesn't go according to plan. The best is yet to come!
Tuesday really was awesome! I got to see so many missionaries that I haven't seen in a while! Sister Silsby and me were just relishing in the company of a fellow English gal. We were having such a great time. And I got to see Elders from my MTC group so that was really cool! And I got to see... Elder Elsholz! Man that was so cool! I miss that Elder!
Wednesday was not quite so full on! We did a lot of finding and talked to a lot of people! Finding is so hard but when you are doing it for loooong periods of time, then it's really hard! But we love it and we keep ourselves going!
Thursday was cool. We went on exchanges! I got to go back to Merthyr for the day! It was so much fun. Sister Andrew is Legit! We are both so similar it was hilarious. We are so similar that it is scary. We could be the same soul in 2 different bodies! I love that Sister so much. We had some really good lessons with people and we spoke to some really cool people too.
Friday we exchanged back and I was reunited with my baby! We had lunch with the Sister Training leaders before they drove back to Merthyr and then we went and taught some lessons and did some more finding. We had a fun dinner appointment that evening too and then we had to go and start weekly planning!
Saturday was a stressful day. Lets just say that investigators can be very up and down! Cray cray!
Sunday we got to see missionaries again! We have been so lucky this transfer! We had our west wales stake conference yesterday! It was so good! Our Chinese investigator finally made it to Church!!! and she brought her husband and her son too! They all loved it! We are so excited!
Well got to go, love you all!
Have a fantastical week!
