First of all, definitely got an email about the internet being used in our mission! The word Facebook was definitely used! How dang cool is that?! Finally we are going up in the world. Hurrah for Israel!
Ok well what can I say this week?! Let me try to remember the week. I would love to say that the hour less of sleep on Saturday night has me all confused but one tri-panionship definitely thought that their phone automatically changed the time so they woke up an hour late... Ssssshhh... don't tell anyone, it's kind of embarrassing.
The good thing is that we noticed and got ready straight away instead of dawdling like we always do on a Sunday morning. So we were not late to church and we still had time to do studies in the morning. Which is good because I had to finish preparing my talk. The one that I had to give in Sacrament meeting. The one that I ended up not even following because I didn't want to say half of it so I just followed the Spirit. I used some of my notes and scriptures and the quotes that I had though. I really enjoyed studying for my talk though. We didn't get given a topic (my companions spoke too) so we got to choose. I found it really hard to choose so I pondered it for half the week. I decided to base it around the poem 'Footprints in the Sand', hence the subject of the email being lyrics from the Leona Lewis song. It was a really good topic for me to do and I found some great scriptures and quotes that I was able to use in my talk.
Alma 7:11-12
11 And he shall go forth, suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind; and this that the word might be fulfilled which saith he will take upon him the pains and the sicknesses of his people.
12 And he will take upon him death, that he may loose the bands of death which bind his people; and he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that he may know according to the flesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities.
Jean A. Stevens: "Wherever we find ourselves on the path of discipleship, whatever our worries and challenges may be, we are not alone. You are not forgotten."
Sometimes I feel like I have studies about this really regularly but I think it is great to be reminded of it every now and then. I love reading about how my Father in Heaven and my Saviour love me. It is the thing that brings me the most joy when I hear it or read about it.
I know that my Saviour lives and loves me. He is my brother and my redeemer. He suffered for me, he bled for me, he died for me. And he did it for you too! Never forget that you have Jesus Christ on your side always and forever.
I love every one of you!
Have a fan-dabby-dosey week!
